Whether it be a brides bouquet, special occasion flowers or memorial flowers. We can preserve your flowers in a modern and stylish 3D resin keepsake or inlay them in a cheese board of your choice. The preserved flowers are dried and suspended in resin which sets with a glass like finish which makes a unique handmade piece of fine art. Every piece is handmade in our Studio in Central QLD. 

If your flowers are large (eg. roses or peonies) then you will need to consider a larger size keepsake. If you are wanting a smaller keepsake we can pull apart your flowers to accommodate for the smaller size. Choose a range of keepsakes to spread your flowers around or have them all designed into one.

The Process

Flower preservation starts with the drying process. Drying flowers and foliage in a fine silica sand to withdraw all the moisture. The shapes of the flowers and foliage remain the same, some "shrinkage" can occur. Colours are mostly retained however, colours will slightly vary from the original in the drying process as they can fade & darken dependant on the flowers and foliage. Some flowers can also become translucent in the resin process. Drying can take up to four plus weeks depending on the type of flowers. 

Once the drying is complete we arrange your flowers into your specified shape mould. If you are purchasing our Square, Round or Rectangle Botanical Inclusion Keepsake you will be sent a picture of our arrangement to ensure you are happy before the resin is poured. 

The resin is the mixed and poured in several stages to ensure you get the 3D effect. Once the curing process has finished (this can take several days after the final pour), your piece is then sanded and polished to a glass like finish. 

It is important you understand that these keepsakes require a lot of patience and can take up to 12 weeks or more for your item to be complete. It is also important to know that whilst we are very careful to provide you with the highest quality products, these are a handmade product with natural inclusions which can sometimes have imperfections. We like to think of them as imperfectly perfect. These may include, but are not limited to; micro bubbles, bubbles, uneven edges, layer lines, "floating" fragments.

Dried Flowers

If you have pre-loved flowers that have been hung dried, we are more than happy to arrange your flowers in resin. As long as there is no sign of mould they will work fine.
